Meet The Founder

Catherine Archer, Founder

The daughter of a farmer and a chef, my passion for food and drink turned into a profession with 25 years spent working on some of the world’s most loved brands at Cadbury, Unilever and Bacardi in local, regional and global marketing and strategy roles and then as CEO of the purpose-driven luxury SME, JING Tea.

But when cycling through Morocco, seeing farms abandoned and communities displaced by climate change, knowing that the sustainability of the food and beverage industry depends on a thriving planet but it is currently responsible for 26% of GHG emissions and 61% of freshwater use alone, I truly recognised the importance of the choices we take as business leaders in protecting not just the futures of our organisations and industry but also that of the environment and society as a whole.

So, after building on my practical experience with formal sustainability training at Cambridge University’s Institute of Sustainable Leadership, I founded Brand Archery to help food & beverage companies unlock sustainable futures for themselves, for people and for planet.
